Based on personal experience and professional observations while working in the mental health/SUD treatment arena Dr. Rodriguez found the need to develop an exceptional Continuing Education Training program.
OnSite Strategies provides training's that provide current, relevant education that supports the current needs for professionals to provide quality treatment services.
One of her primary goals is to ensure that clients can receive extraordinary services and support their needs as they participate in treatment services to heal, save their lives, the lives of family members and others that may also be suffering and to gain the ability and hope to sustain long-term recovery.
She integrated her organizational, clinical and culturally competent expertise and began developing organizational, behavioral and clinical systems. Some of these systems address organizational challenges in leadership, a lack of relationship and resiliency within board of directors, the executive team, supervisors, front line and administrative staff.
Her clients have experienced favorable results through expert assessment, technical assistance methods, including but not limited to Intervention, Training, Coaching, Facilitation, Technical Writing, and Document or Literature Review.
She is also very committed to decreasing health disparity, access barriers for marginalized populations, through customized trainings, educational materials, organizational development, and needs assessments.
This can include organizational and strategic planning, infrastructure, policies, client and or staff grievance, team interventions, conflict resolution, trainings and technical assistance.
Client testimonials communicate their favorable results, staff and organizational transformation and increased positive outcomes for their patient and/or clients.
Dr. Rodriguez is a University of California Sacramento Mc Nair Scholar and a U.S. Scholar.
She earned her PhD in Psychology, with a Christian Perspective in 2004 and a second Ph.D., in 2008 in Pastoral Care and Counseling. She also received three honorary doctorates in 2004.
She also earned a Masters Addiction Counseling, is a Licensed Advanced Addiction Counselor - Clinical Supervisor (LAADC-S), certified International Addiction Certification (ICAADC), certified Substance Use Disorder IV-Clinical Supervisor (SUDIV-CS), certified CTRTC; William Glasser Institute, Nationally and Internationally, Certified Intervention Professional (CIP), Gateway Intervention Professional (GIP), Family System Specialist FSS), Clinical Trauma Professional and certified Clinical Superviser.
She has provided Consulting services for private, non-profit and governmental agencies. She was a member of the Clinical team to start up the Path 2 Health Program for Well Point, Inc., previously the Clinical Supervisor of Family First’s Therapeutic Foster Care program, Shelter Supervisor and Lead Case Manager of The Cold Weather Shelter, providing co-occurring and support services to homeless families, and founded the Prison to Purpose program at the California Institute for Women.
For over 25 years, she has had the opportunity to work with a very wide range of people dealing with an equally wide range of issues. She is goal directed and challenges her clients towards personal wholeness, relationally, spiritually and psychologically through accountability, choice and consistently striving to create their quality world.
She believes in the public health model when working with clients. As a trained, advanced certified Choice Theorist and Reality Therapist, she believes that the attunement with her clients is critical to the overall success of the work.
Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's Recovery Matters published her story in February 2014. Dr. Rodriguez has been a guest speaker and lead presenter at many major conferences and symposiums throughout the United States. Some of these venues are: the West Coast Symposium, May 30, 2014 and introduced “Treatment Planning from a Choice Theory Perspective.” She was also a Lead Presenter at the DHCS Substance Use Disorder Conference in Costa Mesa, CA in 2014 presenting “Honoring Tribal Nations. She was also a key consultant for the CLAS and DHCS contracts, training county mental health teams throughout the state of California, DHCS SUD staff tranings and consulting for ADP (Alcohol And Drug Programs). She is an expert in the areas of ethics and CFR Title 42. November 1, 2014 Dr. Rodriguez was a Lead Presenter for the CCAPP Inaugural Conference in Mission Bay, San Diego, November 1, 2014, presenting “Substance Use Disorder, Older Adults Aging Populations,” Presenter for Rosewood Institute, April 24, 2015, “Do No Harm - Ethics and Eating Disorder Treatment: The Implementation of Ethics and Eating Disorder Treatment,” Presenting at CCAPP Symposium, SUD Older Adults, Santa Clara, June 27, 2015,” “Lead Presenter, Cultural Competency & Best Practices Summit, Citrus Heights, July 18, 2015.” She was also a lead presenter at the 2016 LA CADAC Conference, Lynwood, CA, Guest speaker for Recovery View Network in Palms Springs, CA and Presenter for Core Connectivity, Sacramento, CA in 2016. She was also a presenter for Admissions and Marketing, Luxe Hotel, Bel Air, 2017, Seirra Vista Psychiatric, Sacramento, CA in 2018and 2019, and Speaker for the David E. Smith Symposium, San Francisco, CA in 2019 and admitted as a Fellow to the David E. Smith Foundation. She has also clinically trained throughout the US and provides clinical oversight for several organizations in California. She was scheduled as a presenter for CADTP May and October 2020 however due to COVID-19, the conferences will be rescheduled. Her presentation will cover "Raising the Bar for Ethics and Confidentialty."
She released her first book, “When the Rainbow Ends a Shadow From Heaven Appears" in 2017.” Her newest book, "The Cart, From Adversity to Collateral Beauty" is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2020.

Dr. Rodriguez is currently a writer for Rapporteur Manazine. Her focus is about Mental Wellness.
Her newest article for Rapporteur is dedicated to her presentatuin about how systemic racism contributes adversely to Adverse Childhood Experiences. This magazine will be released by mid-October 2020.
